TPG Architects have been appointed by Arts Queensland to carry out the design work in a major transformation of the Centre of Contemporary Arts in Cairns. In consultation with acclaimed visual artist Brian Robinson and choreographer Pauline Lampton, the regeneration is to include a fresh, modernised facade, activated and inviting street-level design, new studio spaces, public artworks, inclusive green spaces and links to corridors currently being enhanced and developed by Cairns Regional Council for the city’s cultural precinct.
